On September 26, 2019, the Yelp Las Vegas community came together to celebrate why it’s so great to be a Vegas local. Not to mention, the party was held at the same place where Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Tony Bennett hung out back in the day. Enriched in Vegas history, Mansion 54, a newly renovated venue by Epic Venues in Downtown Las Vegas, was the perfect place to throw this extravaganza, complete with all the glitz and glam.
Not only was this elegant event a celebration of Las Vegas, past and present, but it was also the Yelp Las Vegas’ largest fundraiser of the year. Guests were asked to bring a suggested donation of $20 at the door to benefit Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada. The nonprofit also hosted a raffle with prizes from a variety of the vendors at the event. All proceeds at the door as well as at the raffle during the event went to this local nonprofit. Thanks to all the vendors and the Yelp Las Vegas community, the event raised nearly $7,000 for Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada that evening.
As the Yelpers dressed in their best vintage Vegas cocktail attire entered the fundraiser, they were greeted by retro-dressed showgirls in red from Always Entertaining and a YELP balloon display presented by Balloons with a Twist, both nestled between the golden split staircase of Mansion 54.
Throughout the venue, attendees were able to enjoy complimentary delicious bites and tasty beverages served up by some incredible local businesses and brands. Food and drink vendors included: Big Jerk, BurgerIM on Blue Diamond, Ellis Island Hotel, Casino & Brewery, Flow & Fowl, Guayakí Yerba Mate, a cash bar by Mansion 54, Nuun & Co., Popcorn Girl, Rachel’s Kitchen, Sin City Cupcakes, SmashMallow, The Cereal Cookie, The Juice Standard, The Long Drink, Therapy Las Vegas & Relapse Night Club, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Tommy Bahama Las Vegas, Tortas Vegas, Vegan Rob’s, Waffle Time and White Claw Hard Seltzer.
What would a Vegas party be without some fabulous entertainment? Ultra DJs spun hit songs throughout the night as attendees danced and grooved on the dancefloor, which was located over the indoor pool. Yelpers even got to take photos with the Chippendales at Mario Ramirez Photography‘s photo booth. Outside on the back patio, Yelpers enjoyed mini performances by teachers and students of Trapeze Las Vegas. Elvis Presley was also in the house, from the hit show Elvis Presley’s Heartbreak Hotel in Concert, mingling with Yelpers throughout the evening.
Towards the end of the evening, Vegas Yelpers got a real treat with special private performances by two new Las Vegas shows. Celestia, located at the The Strat, wowed attendees with an acrobatic father-daughter performance to remember. Closing out the night with an epic performance, complete with dancing, comedy and acrobatics was Blanc de Blanc, located at Sahara Las Vegas, with a performance to remember. Viva Las Vegas!
