Saku in Hoboken is known for serving up innovative sushi, eclectic cocktails, extensive sake, wine, and beer. Last week, 50 Yelpers were invited in to their sleek space for an after-hours style Elite event.
In true ‘after hours’ fashion, there were several different cocktails to enjoy. Yelpers sipped on various libations including sake, cocktails and even got to try Saku’s own signature beer.
We also got to sample many of Saku’s delicious eats! Yelpers munched on various sushi rolls, shisito peppers, gyoza and more. Saku has an eclectic Asian fusion menu, and a variety of small and shareable plates make it the perfect pick for a group dinner or a date night!
The gorgeous flower wall from Larkspur Botanicals was the perfect backdrop for food photos… and selfies!
After lots of eating and drinking, it was time for some fun games! Three daring Yelpers volunteered for a speed sake chugging contest, and another daring three volunteered to take part in a sushi rolling competition!
Finally, the night ended with lots and lots of raffle prizes! Saku has a variety of exciting offerings such as cocktail classes and sushi making lessons and Yelpers got the chance to win tickets to both along with Saku gift cards! There were also gift cards to several of Saku’s sister restaurants including Grand Vin, Battello and The Kitchen Step. Corgi Spirits and Misunderstood Whiskey both gave away delicious bottles and The Bacyard Media even gave away a photoshoot!
