Since 2004, Yelp has worked to connect millions of people to the best in local business. In that time we’ve met thousands of passionate small business owners, a group as hardworking and diverse as any you’ll find. In this series, we share stories of just some of the people who, through their commitment to building great local businesses, are sustaining the vibrant local communities we call home.
It’s an exciting time to live in Miami. It’s a city that dons the nickname, The Magic City. Where does its magic come from? It’s vibrant diversity – in food, in business and in culture. One thing that unifies the city across all cultures is the fact that those who are part of the Miami story do their part to celebrate Miami in all its uniqueness.
To celebrate Latinx Heritage month, we spent some time with a few Cuban-American business owners. We want to share the stories that are inspiring change in our community right now, and celebrate our Herencia Hispana.
We know Miami has many more stories to tell which is why we are calling on you to share your story here. Nominate yourself, or a friend so we can celebrate Latinx business owners all month long.

Celebrate your Latinx Heritage:
This year’s Latinx Heritage Month internal campaign aims to empower our employee community to ‘think local’ or as we like to say: #piensalocal.
The campaign illuminates the contributions Latinx-owned businesses make to the U.S. economy, and highlights thriving local businesses in each of our cities. Latinx-owned and operated businesses will have the opportunity to order a free special window decal that they’ll be able to proudly display on their storefronts. This can be done by filling out this form by Friday, September 27th. The storefront stickers will be sent directly to the businesses by mail.
Mil gracias to the business owners who took the time to share their story. We look forward to sharing the stories of many Latinx business owners in the weeks to come!
