On Tuesday, May 21st at 6pm, Detroit Elites enjoyed sips and snacks with M Cantina in Dearborn, while learning about the vision and history of Executive Chef Junior Merino’s central Mexican roots along the way.
Guests started the evening sampling M Cantina’s chips and salsa trio (fresh fried tortilla chips, guacamole, salsa de frijol and pico de gallo) and tlayuda with chicken tinga (Mexican flatbread, mole sauce, crispy onions and queso Chihuahua). From there, Chef Junior Merino and his staff prepared a taco triologia: duck carnitas, churrasco, and crispy fish. The perfect finale to complete the experience will be a dessert duo of cinco leches and churros paired with M Cantina’s signature avocado ice cream. And to wrap up the evening? We learned a little bit about the Mexican delicacies that are seasoned grasshoppers, ants, and more!
