We came, we saw, we got groovy. Rain couldn’t stop hundreds of Yelpers from getting their boogie on at Yelp North Jersey’s biggest bash of the year. Guests threw on their funkiest 70’s attire and descended upon the Harborside Atrium in Jersey City for a night filled with an abundance of savory and sweet eats, drinks, disco inspired tunes and so much more.
And did we get down with our bad selves? Heck yes! The James Calleo band kept Yelpers shaking their groove thang all night long. Larkspur Botanicals set the scene with funky florals and balloons. Over thirty local vendors were serving up delicious bites and sips. From a donut wall to flaming Portuguese sausage, to ooey gooey gourmet grilled cheese and hand spun crepes — there was truly something for every palette to enjoy. Interactive activities like hair braiding, virtual reality and disco dance lessons kept Yelpers on their toes. Guests also had the opportunity to explore and sample their way through District Kitchen, a brand new food hall located inside of Harborside Atrium.
And it gets better! All of this was for a great cause. Over $1600 was raised to benefit Canine Companions for Independence, a non-profit organization. Their mission is to enhance the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. They also had adorable pups for us to pet!
This night was filled with all of our favorite things — peace, love, Yelp, groovy tunes, stellar eats, refreshing libations and great company. And best of all, local North Jersey business owners and the Yelp community were able to come together to benefit a good cause. That’s something worth celebrating!
