Yelp Cleveland’s Ryde & Unwind

This February, Yelp Elites gathered for a fitness event with GrooveRyde at their newly opened third location in the Van Aken District. As the premier indoor cycling, yoga fusion, and boot camp experience in Cleveland, GrooveRyde is a one-stop shop for music, movement, and inspiration. They take pride in the sense of community their studios create, and Elites experienced this connection first hand.Upon arrival, Elites were greeted by the welcoming GrooveRyde staff and co-owner Anjua led the group into the beautiful yoga studio. Anjua explained what GrooveRyde is all about: self-care, mindfulness and a hell of a good time. Since their beginning, GrooveRyde has focused on a well-rounded workout that focuses on mind and body, rather than on having a beach body. Anjua spoke about the three different locations they have – Downtown, Woodmere, and now, Van Aken. She noted connection, relationships, mindfulness, and a good time as the priority for every workout in their studios. As Elite Miranda C. wrote, “She talked about how she modeled GrooveRyde not into just an exercise space but treats it as a community and takes the time to get to know everyone that comes there… They are about empowering and encouraging each other. It sounds like a great community to be a member of.” Anjua led the group into two sessions  – Groove Cycle with Vicky and Hot Power Yoga with Liz.Liz jumped right into Hot Power Yoga in the one-of-a-kind infrared studio. The 80° heat created the perfect environment for stretching and flowing through the 35-minute class. As Elite Alyssa F. wrote, “I also fell in love with the infrared heating system… I’ve done a lot of hot yoga, but this heating system is by far my favorite. It produces a great warming effect that doesn’t seem to increase the humidity in the room.” The yoga was quick and matched to upbeat music with an incredibly motivating instructor. Liz focused on letting go of the day, moving on and being present.Next, the group moved to the cycling room with instructor Vicky for 35 rigorous, sweaty, and incredible minutes. The music was bumping, and the jumps and sprints throughout the workout perfectly aligned to the beat of each motivating song. Elite Agnes I. particularly enjoyed this workout, writing, “This was a very high energy class that incorporated sprints on the stationary bike as well as uphill climbs. I especially loved the use of weights towards the end of class. Perfect class with great music and a motivating instructor.” Overall, the evening truly showed off GrooveRyde’s mission, gorgeous new studio and dynamic workouts. Stress-relieving yoga and invigorating cycling had Elites walking away with worn-out muscles and smiling faces. Yelp Elite HerBrina S. summed up her experience writing, “I had such a wonderful time at this event! I am for sure coming back to try out the other classes!”
