Louisville Elites Say Cheers With Bourbon And Cheese

The Yelp Louisville Elite Squad clinked their glasses with the help of Nouvelle Bar & Bottle. At this small, intimate event, Nouvelle in the NuLu neighborhood of Louisville hosted guests while Maker’s Mark guided Yelpers through a bourbon tasting and Tulip Tree Creamery provided some of its delicious cheeses to go with the event.

Maker’s MarkMaker’s Mark is a small-batch bourbon whiskey produced in Loretto, Ky., by Beam Suntory. It is bottled at 90 U.S. proof and sold in squarish bottles sealed with red wax. The distillery offers tours and is part of the American Whiskey Trail and the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.

Tulip Tree Creamery — Founded in 2014 by Fons Smits and Laura Davenport, Tulip Tree Creamery is a small batch artisan cheese company in Indianapolis, Ind. Tulip Tree creates traditional European Style cheeses with a distinctive American flair. Its community education outreach includes cheese making and pairing classes available to private groups and ticketed public events.
