When it comes to authentic ethnic cuisine and Nashville, ‘German’ might not be the first word that comes to mind. Understandable… but that should change. What the Music City lacks in numbers, it makes up in quality. Bavarian Bierhaus is as authentic as it comes and offers attendees the chance to experience a German beer hall in all its hoppy wonder. From the time one enters the door, guests are exposed to the sights, sounds and smells (ahh, sausage) of Germany. The Yelp Nashville Elite Squad got to go one bigger by taking in a sampling of the food, drink and entertainment Bavarian Bierhaus has to offer. Bier. It’s in the name — and at the Bierhaus it’s imported direct from Germany. Elites were treated to pulls of Paulaner Pils, Hefe and Oktoberfest. Beer kicks up an appetite, so guests, then, went on a savory journey to the land of pretzels, bier cheese, sweet mustard, sausages, sauerkraut, and Brotzeitteller — German charcuterie (if you will). Because no meal is complete without dessert, guests topped off their sweet tooths (teeth?) with pretzel pudding, black forest cake and strudel. But the fun didn’t end there! Buoyed by the bavarian goodies, Elites took part in a Masskrugstemmen contest, which found them lifting a stein of beer in front of themselves for an extended period of time. The top winners, then, got to compete against the crew of Pickler & Ben — including the American Idol herself! For a taste of Oktoberfest without leaving the country, Bavarian Bierhaus proved to be quite the party place. Check out the reviews here and the photos here. From bier to bites to music to feats of strength, Bavarian Bierhaus offers up a menu & experience unlike any other you’ll find in Middle Tennessee. Prost (we had to say it)!
