CT Elites Experience Indian Cuisine Redefined

On Thursday night, 30 lucky Yelp Elites were treated to an unforgettable feast at Bhog Multi Cuisine Indian Restaurant in Rocky Hill. Chef Nimma Reddy took the group on a culinary adventure through a multi-course meal featuring more than twenty different dishes.

The night began with handcrafted Indian-inspired cocktails by award winning mixologist Hemant Pathak. Once the hors d’oeuvres began, the food did not stop for nearly three awe-inspiring hours. Chef Nimma introduced each dish as it was served and explained the ingredients, flavors, and inspiration behind each creation. Stand-out hors d’oeuvres included the fried kale sprouts, papad cones, shrimp balchao bruschetta, and broccoli and cauliflower manchurian. The fried kale sprouts were light and crunchy, and a fan favorite by all. The creativity and presentation were unbelievable!

Guests enjoyed entrees served family style, from navaratan korma and goan salmon curry to vegetable biriyani and perfectly spiced vienchina mamsam. Who can forget the hot fresh garlic and goat cheese naan? Last but not least, the dessert. Rich, decadent gulab jamun creme brûlée, Mexican inspired gajjar jamun sopapilla, Indian-spiced macarons… the list goes on.

With so many authentic and unique dishes, guests were able to experience highlights from traditional Indian cuisine along with an array of chef-created recipes.
