Decades Dance at Etro Nightclub – Downtown Houston

Houston’s favorite ’80s dance destination Etro Lounge is moving from their Montrose digs to a new downtown destination, and the Houston Yelp Elite Squad was invited to a sneak peek experience before opening its doors to the general public. Like, that’s totally rad. It was a “decades dance” to celebrate all things 80s, 90s (and even 70s) as Yelpers donned their favorite throwback ensembles to check out the new Etro Nightclub at 114 Main St. There was dancing to the tunes of Etro resident DJ Ray, unlimited arcade games, face painting by Rawr Party Face Painting, an “accessorize yourself” station, and zany pics by The Houston Photobooth.

Keeping it local, Texas-made bevs were served that night. “Pretty In Pink” and “Adults Only Tang” were provided by Deep Eddy Vodka, refreshing Orange Show and Summer Pils brews provided by Saint Arnold Brewing Co., and ice cold cider by Austin Eastciders. Yelpers refueled from all the dancing with delicious donut holes sponsored by Shipley Donuts (Westchase and Downtown Tunnel locations) and Pepperoni’s pizza. And just in time for July 28th’s National Waterpark Day, one lucky winner (congrats, Cody J!) won the grand prize raffle drawing for a 2-night stay at Stella Mare RV Resort + 5 day passes to Schlitterbahn Galveston (courtesy of!
