Dogs are a Yelper’s best friend! Denver Yelpers and their furry friends gathered this past Sunday for a Yappy Hour at downtown Denver’s newest pet-friendly hotel, Hotel Indigo. There were plentiful pups of all shapes and sizes to raise money for MaxFund, a no-kill shelter based in Denver. Light bites and libations were provided by Hearth & Dram–wine with a hint of “bark,” local beer, cocktails, and steak tartare for humans and homemade peanut butter treats for pooches.
Pups made new canine pals and struck a pose at the pet portrait station by Pets & Their People Portraits. We were fur-tunate enough to raise $300 for MaxFund–all while having a pawsitively great time! To see what Yelpers have to say, check out reviews and photos of Yelp’s Yappy Hour.

Hearth & Dram — Anchoring Denver’s Union Station neighborhood since early 2017, Hearth & Dram is a modern day saloon that is both wood-fire driven and whiskey focused. The name refers to a brick- or stone-lined fireplace – a sign of hospitality – and an old world measurement for whiskey. An intimate atmosphere with warm, leather finishes creates a playful spin on classic Denver, complemented by Rustic American Fare and a vibrant playlist. Highlights include floor-to-ceiling windows, a seven ft. wood-fired hearth, an imported French rotisserie and the largest whiskey selection in downtown Denver, with 350+ varieties. An open kitchen invites guests to explore unique experiences, such as the reserve whiskey cocktail cart and group, reservation-only “Whole Beast Feasts.”
