1. Goethe Haus
Frankfurt is not only known for its Banks and skyline, but it is also the city where Goethe was born and also lived in his youth. In his honor, the house he grew up in, has been turned into a museum, where one can travel back in time and experience one of the greatest poets’ homes and histories.
Städel is an art museum by the main river with one of the most important collections in Germany and houses some of the greatest artists exhibitions. For art and museum lovers it is a must-go place.
A botanical garden in Frankfurt, and the largest garden of its kind in Germany, it is the place to go for a stroll in peace, whilst enjoying the many beauties of nature. It houses great exhibitions around plants as well, throughout the whole year and hosts events at its casino.
To have a one-of-a-kind culinary experience, Kleinmarkthalle, the “small market hall” is the perfect place for foodies. Aisles of food from fruits to veggies, cheese to cold cut meats, a fish market and oyster bar, as well as a few mini-restaurants and a coffee shop, all under one roof. What more could you ask for?
With Frankfurt being the city of Skyscrapers, you can’t help but standing on top of one. You take the Elevator of the Helaba / Maintower and look at Frankfurt from 200 meters in the air and see all the way to the end of the city. It also hosts a Rooftop Yoga Event in the summer.
