Yelp Glasgow’s Cocktail Battle

Following on from the hugely successful Pizza Week and Battle, we’ve just wrapped up celebrating Cocktail Week and Cocktail Battle at McPhabbs.

Thanks to Campari, we kicked off the night with a refreshing Aperol Spritz before getting down the hard business of judging the cocktails! Six businesses sent along their bartenders to serve up cocktails to our panel of 30 Yelp judges.

First up was Jide from Blythswood Square who presented the Blythswood Belter from their Local at Heart menu. The cocktail features the much-loved Scottish drink, Irn Bru and was presented with popping candy. The second cocktail of the night was served by Bo from Hard Rock Cafe and featured popping boba from Tempo Tea Bar. Next up was The French Collection from Atlantic Bar & Brasserie garnished with pear slices.

Ally from Porter & Rye presented their namesake cocktail featuring bulleit rye. Calum from The Trading House concocted and introduced The Trader – the tea garnish was a real hit with the Yelpers. And finally, Calum from McPhabbs presented their salted caramel hard shake which was the perfect way to end the night!

Judges deliberated while grazing on delicious canapes by McPhabbs, and then the results were in…

3: Porter & Rye with The Porter & Rye

2: The Trading House with The Trader
