Irish the Other 364 Days of the Year!

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, many people are digging out their one green piece of clothing, dusting off their “kiss me I’m Irish” button and getting ready to cheers with a pint glass full of green beer. In the midst of all of this, we thought it would be interesting to take a look at places in the US that are celebrating their Irish pride year-round.

Below are the top 10 US businesses on Yelp with the most mentions of the word “Irish”:

1 – Brendan's Irish Pub and Restaurant is where Camarillo, CA residents head to grab a pint of Ireland’s best-selling alcoholic drink, Guinness. But don’t fill up on this frothy stout, Brendan’s is also famous for their tasty pub grub!

2 – As legend has it, San Francisco’s Buena Vista Café became famous on November 10, 1952 when the bar owner challenged a patron to recreate the Irish Coffee that was served in Ireland’s Shannon Airport. Some 60 years later, “Irish Coffee” is mentioned in 500 reviews for this four star institution.

3 – Although it’s about 4,150 miles away from Dublin, The Irish Times in Miami, FL has yelpers raving about their Irish fare with a Miami flare – especially the bangers and mash.

4 – There is an art to pouring the perfect pint of Guinness (which should supposedly take exactly 119.53 seconds) and apparently Celtic Crossings in Chicago has perfected it! The authentic Irish hospitality has Chicagoans coming back for more.

5 – The happy hour deals at Robbie Fox's Public House have people in Tempe, AZ doing an Irish jig. This Irish owned and operated bar is the real deal.

6 – Las Vegas is famous for its flashy casinos, high-end shopping and… Irish pubs? McMullan's Irish Pub has become a favorite among locals for the amazing service, yummy food and trivia night.

8 – Pro tip: head into The Irish Oak before a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field for their fish and chips (and Irish nachos… and corned beef sliders… and Guinness float…)

9 – As Chris M. describes, Boston’s The Black Rose, “is a great Irish Pub in a great Irish City!” Erin R. adds, “Being Irish and proud, I may be a bit biased, but I think Black Rose is the best Irish Pub in Boston!”

10 – Not only is this four star neighborhood bar known for their Guinness and pool table, San Francisco’s The Plough & Stars is also renowned for their Celtic music.
